Hmmm, Foot Locker is buying CCS. I can see it now, a kid walks into Foot Locker, a guy in a referee outfit walks up to help him, the kid says he wants some Emericas, and the referee says “Oh yeah, the Andrew Reynolds model is great for doing your kick-jumps.”
But seriously, I doubt anything will change. CCS will probably run as independently as it ever has, I doubt this will lead to skate shoes at Foot Locker (please tell me they aren’t already there…), and the world of skateboarding footwear is already heavily corporate. Just look at the Gav, I bet that guy wears a tie six days a week.

im not giving my money to in footlocker!
You have an issue with Foot Locker selling Skate shoes, but you are good with Famous Footwear and DSW selling them?
Nah, I’m against that too. In a perfect world you would only buy skate shoes from retail establishments owned and operated by skateboarders, but hey, it ain’t a perfect world, I guess.
SO NOW THERE’S SHOE RACISM? WHO CARES IF THEY SELL SKATE SHOES AT FOOTLOCKER. ANYONE WHO’S BEEN SKATEBOARDING FOR 15 YEARS KNOW THAT SHIT DOES’NT MATTER. UNLESS YOU’RE IN THE INDIE BUSINESS SIDE OF IT. THAT REALLY SUCKS. PEOPLE JUST FIND THINGS EVERYDAY TO NAG ABOUT. WE CAN’T CONTROL EVERYTHING. JUST SIT BACK AND BE COOL WITH THE FACT THAT YOU CAN BUY SKATE & HOOP SHOE ALL IN ONE STORE. IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT THE MORE SKATEBOARDING IS IN THE PUBLIC EYE THE MORE IT WILL GROW. MY IDEA IS THAT THE BIGGER SAKTEBOARDING GROWS, THE BETTER IT IS FOR US. SKATBOARDING IS THE ULTIMATE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. MORE ATTENTION TO THE SPORT MEANS MORE COMPANIES WILL WANT TO BUILD SKATE PARKS.EVERYONE WINS.
As long as they dont have SB’s in the mall, that will kill the whole exclusive factor of it
I think that they may indeed have Nike SBs in the mall, at least the general release types, I have heard of guys buying them at Footlocker, some skate shops operate out of the mall as well. Why would you want Nike SBs to be exclusive anyhow? The exclusivity and limited edition crap leads to sneakerheads and scalpers buying them up out of skate shops and driving the prices up so nobody else can afford them.
I don’t really care for CCS either, most of their products aren’t really a bargain and their shipping and handling rates are murder unless you buy more then a certain amount. If you have them ship to Canada they screw you over for an extra 25% in brokerage fees and top of charging an extra $20 for handling which smells of UPS to me. Who runs CCS the mob? If you want to buy online either get stuff off ebay, from S.P.O.T. (Skate Park of Tampa)or some place else.
